Ames and a group of people shoulder to shoulder

Radical Reimagining Life Coaching is one-to-one and group coaching that uses slight shifts in imagination to achieve transformation, both of individuals and our communities.

Together we can radically reimagine:

About

Radical Reimagining works with you on an individualized action plan, using the modalities that fit you best.

These may include:

  • Using practices that help your brain and your nervous system develop new ways to support yourself and your peace

  • Working with your intuition, through dreams, Tarot, or astrology to support you

  • Re-connecting to spiritual traditions and histories that resonate for you

  • Developing self-care, community care, and interdependence structures that support you

  • Unleashing your creativity (even if you don’t think you’re creative) to allow deeper, more meaningful connections in your life

"It's my conviction that slight shifts in imagination have more impact on living than major efforts at change."

Thomas Moore

Principles

Radical Reimagining isn’t just a cute, alliterative, and evocative name. Ames is committed to creating and holding client spaces that observe the following principles:

  • Anti-oppression, including anti-racism, anti-ableism, anti-sexism, anti-queerphobia, anti-adultism, etc.

  • Pro-liberation, including Black Liberation, Land Back, Queer and Trans Liberation, Fat Liberation, Disability Justice, Abolition, Pro-Survivors, and more.

  • Accountability to community and responsibility to hold my end of our coaching relationship

  • Pro-neurodivergency, such as autism, ADHD, and more.

  • Pro-community principles and interdependence, which means that capitalism is viewed with skepticism, while abolitionism, anarchism, transformational justice, Black feminism, and other pro-community frameworks are uplifted when helpful.

  • Trauma sensitivity and cultural humility

  • Radicalism - the principle of transformation “at the root of things,” as Angela Y. Davis says.

  • Though neither perfection nor perfectionism is the goal, learning and growing together is.

Ames has learned from Black, Indigenous, Immigrant, Queer, Trans, Disabled, Fat and Othered folks over the years, young and old, to hold these spaces in a pro-liberation way, and will continue to learn.
